NEXT MEETING DATE - WED 15 OCT 26
CLOSING DATE - MON 05 OCT 26
The work of the Northumbria Historic Churches Trust is complimented by a wider network of funding bodies that support the conservation and ongoing use of church buildings across the UK.
Alongside our own grant giving, there are a number or organisations that share a commitment to preserving places of worship and sustaining their role within communities. These funders provide valuable financial support, guidance and resources, helping churches across the region - from the Tweed to the Tees - remain active, well-maintained, and accessible.
This section highlights a selection of other grant-giving organisations that churches may wish to explore when seeking support for repair, conservation, and community-focused projects.

The Nation Lottery Heritage Fund is a UK-wide funder that supports projects sustaining and transforming the UK's heritage. Through its Grants for Places of Worship programme, it provides funding to help conserve historic churches and other places of worship, ensuring they remain accessible, well-maintained and at the heart of their communities.

The Nation Churches Trust is a UK charity dedicated to supporting the protection and sustainability of church buildings of all denominations. It provides grants, advice and advocacy to help keep churches open, in good repair, and serving their communities.

The William Leech Charity is an independent grant and loan-making Trust based in North East England, dedicated to supporting only registered UK charities.
