All Saints Church, Lobley Hill, Gateshead

The Trustees of NHCT recently awarded All Saints Church, Lobley Hill, Gateshead £5000 towards stonework. The works were completed in August 2023 and this has had a fantastic impact on the church and its community.  Gill Corner stated that "I am writing to thank you and advise you of the positive impact of the funding support that NHCT gave Hillside Parish for the high-level repair works at the church. We are delighted to be able to say that we have completed about 70% of the work in this phase; as a result, the building is now a lot more weatherproof as well as looking much better. In addition to stimulating an interest in our Church life with people from the local community who use our adjacent Church Hall it has generated feelings of responsibility and interest in our involvement as stewards of the building with our worshipping Church family old and new. The view of the Church Tower from the road has been enhanced. A newer member of our worshipping family said to me recently that she had chosen to attend our worship service because she felt ‘a sense of purpose in our activities in our Church’. In sharing God’s love and bringing people to faith it is important that we have a Church building that looks cared for when we welcome them in through the doors. The work we had done speaks ‘Life at All Saints’ ".
